BMW V12 LMR n° 15/17 1st Le Mans 1999 (ref P24009)

For its second participation at the race of 24 Hours of Le Mans, the car is deeply modified: The new body is streamlined. The engine V12 is the same that for the Mc Laren winner at Le Mans 1995 ; the chassis and the brakes disc are in carbone. Despite the great favourites Toyota and Mercedes, BMW with the n°15 (Dalmas-Martini-winkelhock), wins for the first time and with energy the more famous race of endurance, the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
