The Porsche 962 C is an evolution of the 956 version. The main modification is a 12 cm longer wheelbase. The engine is a 3 L biturbo with a new electronic fuel injection, the Bosch Motronic. The car n°17 (Bell-Stuck-Holbert) wins the race. It’s the last victory at Le Mans for the Porsche 962C. Given the presence of a particularly high level of competition in 1987, the win of this Porsche represents one of the most beautiful success in Le Mans for the constructor.
