Jaguar XJR 5 n° 40/44 Le Mans 1984 (ref P24014)

After 20 years of absence, Jaguar comes back in Le Mans with the XJR5. The chassis is in kevlar/aluminium, the body in kevlar. The engine is the 6 l V12. The entry of the XJR5 in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, is the great new for the spectators. Most of people hope in this 2 cars, a serious adversary against the Porsche. But in 1984, the 2 cars renounce after show an excellent potential: the retirement of the 2nd car arrives during the 21 hours, in 6^th position!
