Created by the race department of Alfa in 1938, the tipo 308 single-seater is built up around the famous supercharger 8 cylinders. This engine is also used for the 2900 B entered in the 1938 24 hours of Le Mans race and for the winning car of the 1938 Mille Miglia.
It’s the first Alfa built for the new 3 liters formula, registered in 1938.

This car was entered by the Swiss team Naphtra. Raymond Sommer arrived at the 5th place in the 1939 ACF GP and Jean-Pierre Wimille, in 1946,  win the two GP: Roussillon (Perpignan) and Bourgogne (Dijon).
